May June 2004 Newsletter

We are now making final plans for the reunion. We have 90 tickets in hand for the evening parade at the Marine Barracks. All that is left is for a final count for the banquet on Saturday night and the bus tour.   We are planning a long afternoon of a bus tour with the parade the final event of the evening. We must be at the parade grounds by 7:15 to preserve our tickets and the parade starts at 8:15. We will be returning to the hotel late in the evening.

Before we make a firm commitment to the bus company and banquet caterers we will need a firm commitment and a deposit. This year we are separating the deposits for each. We will need a $30.00 deposit for the bus tour and $30.00 for the banquet for each person. If it occurs we are overcharging, we can always refund any excess fees. We need the commitment as soon as possible. The bus fee will be determined by the actual amount of people and the hourly bus fare. The banquet meal will also include tax and we normally furnish the Marine Honor Guard with their meals.

All checks need to be made out to the VMF/VMF(aw)/VMFA-115 Marine Reunion Assn. Checks need to be sent to Lynn Hagen  12000 First St. W. Watson  MN  56295 as early as possible.  Thanks
